I was born in Belarus Republic of USSR. My grandmother who was an agronomist introduce me to Herbal Medicine. At age twelve I learned my first acupressure technique from my mentor. At age thirteen, I started self study Yoga and Kenpo Karate. In 1981, I was chosen from hundreds of contestants to Shotokan Karate School, which was ran by Mr. Bodkin. I was trained by him until my military drafting. In the military, I continued practicing martial arts and also learned Sambo and got familiar with Kung Fu styles:Pakua and Five Animals. When I came back home from the army I began studying in Belarus Polytechnic Academy on engineering - economic faculty and continued my martial arts training with Master Pitter, who was teaching Kyohushin Kai Karate. In his class, I got introduced to Shiatsu Massage and witnessed for the first time an acupuncture session performed by the Master Pitter. He used very few needles on one of my classmates and in a twenty minute session the symptoms were completely gone. One year later, I signed up for Tae Kwon Do, then in Polytechnic Academy I started learning Judo, from world heavy weight Champion Master Shaban, and at the same time was learning Viet Vo Dao Thien Diong from 7th Degree black belt Master Adamovich. In his class he was also teaching Meditation, Chi Gong and Indian Yuma Martial Arts. At around same time I was taking lectures with famous Dr. Merzlyakov on Hypnosis and Biotherapy. Self studying Naturopathy, reading books on Krishna's, Buddhism and Daoism. In the summer of 1991, my mother taught me Yang Tai Chi Chuan and I have been practicing ever since. In 1987, I completed martial arts instructor courses at the Sports Institute, and started teaching Martial Arts in the Fitness Center "Absolute". Then I took an opportunity working for Viet Vo Dao and Aikido Federation until I moved to the USA in 1992. In 1992, I started studying at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine which is located in Racine, Wisconsin. I graduated from Midwest College in 1997, with a Master Acupuncturist certification. From 2001 to 2003, I studied at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.I graduated with a Master's Degree of Science in Oriental Medicine. In 2003, I completed a course to become a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer at World Instructor Train School, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From 1992 to present, I been working in Physical Therapy Department with rehabilitation of neuro-muscular disorders in several Medical Pain Clinics. In 2003, I opened my own private practice, "Ozaukee Acupuncture and Herbal Services." In my practice I provide many services such as: Acupuncture, Oriental Massages, Customized Chinese herbal medicines, Personal Fitness Training, Classes in Tai Chi and Chi Gong. About me: I enjoy martial arts, windsurfing, biking, snowboarding, camping, traveling, playing guitar, reading books and listening to music. I also enjoy researching and accomplishing challenging tasks. It has always been a pleasure of mine to discover different methods to incorporate with the traditional approach that I use to help better the health of my patients. |
